Welcome to the In-Asia Grant application page!  All first, second, and third-year College and Conservatory students may apply to this grant program. Fourth-year double degree students are also eligible. Grants may be used to design individual projects in East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Projects can include research, internships, artistic/creative projects, and service learning ventures.*

Important dates:

  • In January 2021, we will announce safety guidelines for projects and appropriate deadlines for the Summer competition. We will also consider projects for remote engagement, should staff determine that international travel remains unsafe. We encourage prospective applicants to discuss ideas with Shansi staff.

What you need:

It will be easy to complete this application if you get everything prepared beforehand, so here’s a list of the information and documents you need:

  • Your project proposal and budget (see page 2 of the application)

  • Your resume summarizing your education, work, volunteer, and special attributes, awards and other activities

  • Your unofficial transcript from the Office of the Registrar. Please do not submit Presto grades.
