Past Taigu Fellow to give Poetry Reading on 2/22

This Thursday (February 22), come here a poetry reading by Elizabeth Lindsey Rogers, Oberlin '07 and Shansi Fellow to Taigu, China from 2007 to 2009. Beth will join two other Oberlin alums - Lauren Clark and Adam Giannelli - in an event organized by the Creative Writing department. They will be reading in Hallock Auditorium in the Adam Joseph Lewis Center for Environmental Studies at 7 pm on February 22. You can learn more information by clicking here. Voices from the Epicenter: A Shansi Visiting Scholar Presentation

Voices from the Epicenter brings you the views of two Indonesian scholars from Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, who have studied the aftermath of the December 2004 Indian Ocean 9.2 magnitude earthquake and tsunami which killed approximately 250,00 people across the region in 14 countries. It is estimated that more than 150,000 people perished in Aceh. Their university is located in city of Banda Aceh, Indonesia, epicenter of the disaster.
