Rohini Acharya

Grants and Fellowships Coordinator

 

Rohini Acharya is a Bharata Natyam performer, choreographer, and teacher. She holds a PhD in Dance Studies from The Ohio State University, an MFA in Dance from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, and an MA in Performance Studies from New York University. Her doctoral research examines how concert stages, festivals, competitions, and online platforms provide opportunities for second-generation South Asian Americans to develop and practice Bharata Natyam in the US.

As the Grants and Fellowships Coordinator for Oberlin Shansi, Rohini oversees much of the grant and fellowship recruitment and application process, supports Shansi development initiatives, and manages official communications.
