A Study of the Foundations of Chinese Medicine

Jenny will be studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at a local clinic in the historic Chinese city of Jingzhou. TCM is an ancient medical system with a history spanning over 23 centuries. It highlights the body's natural ability to heal itself and defines health as a harmonious balance of the mind, body, and spirit. This comprehensive approach includes a range of practices such as acupuncture, herbal medicine, dietary therapy, and massage. The depth and intricacy of TCM are as profound and multifaceted as those of Western medicine. This project serves as an introduction to and exploration of the foundational principles of TCM under the tutelage of a TCM physician.
